It was as a child that Lois Anne first met her Spirit Teachers. They came to her in her most difficult moments, offering comfort, tenderness, and a love she had never known. Before the age of twelve, she experienced two near-death experiences. In one, she found herself rising out of her body, feeling light and free. The pain had vanished. She continued upward until she met a being of radiant light. In that sacred encounter, she felt pure, unconditional love for the first time and knew — deep in her soul — that life continues beyond the physical. Though she longed to stay in that luminous realm, it was not yet her time.
A few years later, during another painful experience, Lois Anne begged her helpers to take her with them. When they gently refused, she turned away, closing the door to that divine connection — believing she was safer in silence than in longing for a love she couldn’t yet hold.
Years passed. In time, she joined the courageous souls who call themselves clean and sober, choosing to face her pain rather than run from it. She dug deep, found her strength, and began the long journey of healing her past.
Then, one quiet day, the same being of light who had visited her as a child returned. That moment awakened her natural mediumship gifts. At first, she allowed them to unfold gently, learning to trust each step of the way.
For reasons she couldn’t explain, Lois Anne always knew she would leave her position at the Social Security Administration after thirty years of service. Everyone told her she could never retire at forty-eight — but that’s exactly what she did. She often laughs that it took her three decades to become an “overnight success.”
The idea for The Cottage was conceived shortly thereafter, and over the years it has become a sanctuary for all who seek healing, insight, and connection. Whether local, cross-country, or international, her sessions are known for their accuracy, compassion, and transformative power.

She has studied with internationally known mediums and healers, including standing on stage beside James Van Praagh to deliver a gallery reading in front of more than one hundred mediums. In 2016, she was personally selected by British medium Lisa Williams to attend her World Summit Program, where Lois Anne earned her Advanced Mediumship and Psychic Certification.
