Discovering Your Soul’s Gifts & Purpose Series

Writer / Communicator

Some people carry medicine in their hands. Some carry it in their presence. And some carry it in their words.

Words have always mattered to you.

You may love language, storytelling, conversation, teaching, journaling, poetry, humor, or the simple art of saying exactly what others struggle to express. Even if you do not think of yourself as a “writer,” you likely know the power of communication instinctively.

You understand that words can comfort, clarify, inspire, heal, awaken, challenge, and connect.

Where others speak in fragments, you may naturally find the thread. Where others feel something deeply but cannot name it, you may be able to give it language. This is no small gift.

Signs You May Be a Writer / Communicator

You often have thoughts, phrases, ideas, or observations moving through you.

You may feel drawn to books, essays, podcasts, meaningful conversations, or any place where ideas are exchanged.

People may tell you:

  • “You said exactly what I needed to hear.”

  • “You explain things so well.”

  • “You should write that down.”

  • “Have you ever thought of writing a book?”

You may process life through words. Journaling helps you understand yourself. Writing may bring relief, perspective, or emotional release.

Some communicators are outwardly expressive. Others are quiet, thoughtful people whose written words carry extraordinary depth.

Some are natural speakers. Some are natural listeners who know precisely when to say the one sentence that changes everything.

The Deeper Gift

True communication is not just talking.

It is translating wisdom into forms others can receive.

It is helping truth travel.

It is naming what has been hidden, offering perspective where there was confusion, and bringing people closer through understanding.

Used consciously, this gift becomes service.

The Growth Edge

Those with this gift sometimes struggle with:

  • fear of being seen

  • perfectionism

  • starting many ideas but finishing few

  • self-censorship

  • believing they need credentials before sharing

  • using words for everyone else while silencing themselves

Some communicators also hide behind endless preparation.

You do not need to know everything before you begin.

Next Steps

Write regularly. Not for performance. For connection. Let writing become a conversation with yourself, life, and Spirit.

Start where the energy is.You do not need to begin at the beginning. Begin with the page that wants to be written.

Use your voice in daily life.Speak honestly. Offer encouragement. Ask the meaningful question. Say the kind thing. Truth spoken gently changes lives.

Read widely.Great communicators are nourished by the voices of others.

Share something imperfect.A paragraph. A post. A poem. A story. Confidence grows through expression, not waiting.

Final Reflection

If this role resonates with you, your gift may not simply be writing.

It may be awakening hearts through language.

Your words can become bridges, lanterns, keys, and open doors.

Use them well.

With love, curiosity, and faith in your becoming,
